Family Matters is a celebration of Nestlé being part of, and growing up with New Zealand for the last 120 years. The book records milestones in Nestlé’s history alongside New Zealand events and world history.
The Nestlé 120 year celebrations began with a promotion where people were asked to tell their story of how Nestlé products had touched their life or the lives of their families. The response was overwhelming. Thousands of letters and e-mails telling us heartfelt memories of growing up with HIGHLANDER Milk, NESCAFÉ, MILO, MAGGI, NESTLÉ Chocolate and more. As well as the stories, people sent in wonderful old historic packaging, photographs, cookbooks and other memorabilia.
We decided to record some of the highlights of Nestlé’s history in a book, Family Matters. The 120-pages are divided into 12 decades and include world history and New Zealand history alongside Nestlé’s history. The book is mainly pictorial and includes classic old photos, memorabilia and Nestlé packaging, recording milestones that have helped make New Zealand what it is today.
