Five Tips for a Happy Holiday
1. Remember – it IS a holiday, not a crisis or a cause for panic. If things don’t go exactly according to plan, don’t stress out. Put your feet up, enjoy the company of family and friends and go with the flow.
2. Christmas Day is likely to be busy and exciting, and you won’t want to spend it all slaving in the kitchen. So prepare as many of your dishes in advance as you can.
3. Instead of laying on a huge traditional meal, consider something lighter and more suited to our summer. If you’re entertaining, have plenty of snacks and finger food available – especially to accompany
drinks. You’ll find lots of inspiration in the recipes section of our website.
4. How well do you know the neighbours? Christmas is the ideal time to get acquainted. Invite them in for morning coffee – over a friendly mug of NESCAFÉ you’ll probably discover you have more in common than just a garden fence.
5. Finally, stay safe. The sun, the beach – even the backyard pool and barbecue – these all present risks to the unwary, especially young children. And if you’re travelling, be extra careful on the roads.
