Satay Meatball SticksPreparation Time: 10 minutes Cooking Time: 15 minutes Serves: 4
INGREDIENTS 500 g pork or beef mince 1 egg 1 tsp MAGGI Garlic Stock Powder 2 tsp grated fresh root ginger 1 Tbsp soy sauce 1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs 1 Tbsp oil 8 bamboo skewers 1 onion, chopped 3 tsp curry powder 2 tsp cornflour 375 mL CARNATION Light & Creamy Evaporated Milk 2 Tbsp peanut butter
METHOD
- Combine mince, egg, 1 clove garlic, 1 tsp ginger, soy sauce and breadcrumbs, mix well.
- Shape mixture into 24 meatballs.
- Heat oil in frying pan. Add meatballs, cook until golden and cooked through, remove from pan. Thread meatballs onto skewers (3 meatballs on each skewer)
- Add onion, remaining garlic and ginger to pan, cook 2 minutes.
- Add curry powder, cook 1 minute. Stir in combined remaining ingredients. Bring to boil stirring, simmer 1 minute.
- Serve sauce over meatball skewers.
HINTS Great for nibbles at parties, or serve with a salad and rice for a main meal. For an even easier recipe - use MAGGI Satay Sauce Mix instead.
