Satay Meatball Sticks

Satay Meatball Sticks

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4

INGREDIENTS

 

500 g pork or beef mince
1 egg
1 tsp MAGGI Garlic Stock Powder
2 tsp grated fresh root ginger
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
1 Tbsp oil
8 bamboo skewers
1 onion, chopped
3 tsp curry powder
2 tsp cornflour
375 mL CARNATION Light & Creamy Evaporated Milk
2 Tbsp peanut butter

METHOD

 

  1. Combine mince, egg, 1 clove garlic, 1 tsp ginger, soy sauce and breadcrumbs, mix well.
  2. Shape mixture into 24 meatballs.
  3. Heat oil in frying pan. Add meatballs, cook until golden and cooked through, remove from pan. Thread meatballs onto skewers (3 meatballs on each skewer)
  4. Add onion, remaining garlic and ginger to pan, cook 2 minutes.
  5. Add curry powder, cook 1 minute. Stir in combined remaining ingredients. Bring to boil stirring, simmer 1 minute.
  6. Serve sauce over meatball skewers.

 


HINTS

 

Great for nibbles at parties, or serve with a salad and rice for a main meal.
