Classic KIWI BURGER
This recipe is easy and can be cooked on the BBQ; the stove top or the grill. Try fish or chicken burgers for a tasty change.

Ingredients • Serves: 4
400g lean beef mince
OR 2 tins Black Beans in Spring Water
(not Brine)
1 pkt MAGGI Best ever Beef Burger Mix
1/2 onion
1 cup grated carrot
4 Hamburger buns (wholegrain)
1 tablespoon tomato sauce
For blackbean burgers only:
3/4 cup wholegrain breadcrumbs
Topping options:
Lettuce leaves, sliced tomato,
sliced beetroot, sliced onion and lite
mayonnaise or avocado to serve.
How to make:
- Chop the onion finely and grate the carrot.
- Combine mince or mashed black beans, MAGGI Best Ever Beef Burger Mix, onion and carrot.
- For the blackbean burger only – combine mixture with bread crumbs. Add more breadcrumbs if the mixture if its still to wet to form patties.
- Cook patties on a hot plate or under preheated grill for 10 minutes or until cooked, turning halfway through cooking.
- Spread lower half of buns with tomato sauce. Top with patties, lettuce, tomato, beetroot and onion. Spread remaining bun half try melting some cheese over the top or avocado and place on top of salad to complete burger.
