Living our purpose

Our purpose shapes everything we do, as we strive to enhance people’s lives through nutrition, health and wellness, and work towards a better future for our world.

When you work at Nestlé, you’re living our purpose every day, in everything you do.

We live it when we enable and inspire people to lead healthier and happier lives. We live it through our zero-waste goal, water-use reduction and recycling innovations. We live it by engaging with internships, mentoring opportunities and partnerships with universities. We live it when we support local communities; when our people volunteer at women’s shelters, with children in need, or with indigenous groups.

Our people know that the work they do at Nestlé makes an impact and every day, they are working to make a difference for individuals & families, for our communities and for our plant.

Through her work in our Maggi team, Louise inspires people to make better food choices. Whether it's sharing information about how to create balanced meals through back of packet nutrition information, or continuing the quest to ensure Maggi products use only real ingredients that we're all familiar with, Louise is enabling people to live healthier lives.

"We put nutrition at the heart of everything that we do at Maggi. To come to work each day and know that what I do makes an impact and helps people to make the right choices about what they eat – it's something I am not only passionate about, but also really proud to be a part of.”

If you ask James about his favourite brand, he'll tell you it's Uncle Tobys – not only does he start each day with a bowl of Uncle Tobys Cereal, but he also gets to work with this iconic brand every day in his role as a Category Manager.

But for James, it's about much more than his day job. It's also about supporting our oat farmers, their families and the broader community. James has been instrumental in helping create our partnership with Men's Shed to promote health and wellbeing in regional communities.

"I'm passionate about men's health, so when there was an opportunity through my work in Uncle Tobys to support men in rural communities for better health and wellbeing, I jumped at the chance. I'm so proud of the great partnership we've developed with Men's Shed and it's rewarding to see how we're supporting communities including our own local oats farmers in the Riverina and our employees in Wahgunyah. I'm excited about how we will continue building our partnership into the future."
